These instructions will help you

Step-by-step Instructions

1. Install DXCC Database version 2.2.3 (and its associated DXCC list)

  1. if you have SpotCollector, DXKeeper, and/or WinWarbler running, terminate them

  2. if you have DXView installed,

    1. start DXView if its not already running
    2. open DXView's Configuration window, and select its Databases tab

    3. click the New? button

    4. click the DXCC Database's Upgrade button (this also updates the DXCC list used by the current version of WinWarbler)

  3. if you don't have DXView installed

    1. download and run the zip archive from http://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxview/DXCC.exe

    2. unzip the contents of this zip archive into DXKeeper's Databases folder (if DXKeeper is installed) and into SpotCollector's Databases folder (if SpotCollector is installed)

    3. modify the Unzip to Folder box to the appropriate pathname for DXKeeper and/or SpotCollector before clicking the Unzip button

    4. if you use WinWarbler,

      • download and run the zip archive from http://www.dxlabsuite.com/winwarbler/WinWarblerDXCClist.exe

      • unzip the contents of this zip archive into WinWarbler's Databases folder

      • note that the Unzip to Folder box is set to c:\program files\dxlab suite\winwarbler\databases - if your WinWarbler is installed in a location other than c:\program files\dxlab suite\winwarbler, appropriately modify this pathname before clicking the Unzip button

2. Update your log in DXKeeper (skip if you don't use DXKeeper)

  1. run DXKeeper
  2. open the Config window's Log tab, and click the Log panel's Backup button

  3. open the Main window's Check Progress tab, and click the Recomp button

    • DXKeeper will display a report showing any changes made to QSOs in your log
  4. if you have more than one Log file, then repeat steps 2b and 2c after opening each Log file

  5. if you've logged any QSOs with stations on St. Barthelemy on or after 2007-12-14, change their DXCC entity from Saint Martin to St. Barthelemy

3. Update your Spot Database in SpotCollector (skip if you don't use SpotCollector)

  1. run SpotCollector

  2. open the Config window's Spot Database tab and click the Recomp button in the Log file referenced for award progress panel

4. Install the Joe DX audio announcement for St. Barthelemy (skip if you don't use SpotCollector)

  1. terminate SpotCollector if its running

  2. download and run the zip archive from http://www.dxlabsuite.com/spotcollector/NewAnnouncements.exe

  3. unzip the contents of this zip archive into SpotCollector's Sounds folder
