Obtaining DX Information from a Latitude and Longitude

  1. in DXView's Main window, type valid a valid latitude (e.g. 17 55' N) and valid longitude (e.g. 62 52' W) into the Location panel's latitude and longitude textboxes respectively and strike the Enter key in either one

  2. DXView displays a location that is characterized by
    • a Maidenhead grid square

    • the names of one or more DXCC entities in which the grid square is located (if the GridDXCC database is installed)

    • the short path distance (SP DX) to your QTH

    • a blue dot on the World Map (click the World button in the Main window's Map panel to make the World Map visible)

    • short and long path Headings for directive antennas
