Recovering Deleted QSOs

If you have inadvertently or erroneously deleted QSOs from your log and wish to recover them from a backup log file in which the deleted QSOs are present,

  1. on the Configuration window's Log tab, use the Log file panel to open the backup log file that contains the QSO to be recovered

  2. on the Configuration window's Log tab, check the Auxiliary box in the Log Panels panel

  3. on the Main window's Check Progress tab, click the Clear Select button at the bottom of the tab

  4. on the Main window's Log QSOs tab,

    1. locate each QSO to be recovered and in the Auxiliary panel, set the select item to Y

    2. click the Filter panel's Sel button; the Log Page Display will contain only the QSOs to be recovered

  5. select the Main window's Export QSOs tab; when asked if you wish to remove the current Log Page Display filter, click the No button

  6. on the Main window's Export QSOs tab, set the Options panel to Export standard ADIF, and then click the Start button to export an ADIF file containing the QSOs to be recovered

  7. on the Configuration window's Log tab, use the Log file panel to open your log file

  8. on the Main window's Import QSOs tab, set the ADIF style options panel to standard ADIF, click the Start button, and select the ADIF file you created in step 6

If you don't have a backup log file containing the QSO inadvertently deleted from your log, you can recover minimal information about the QSO from LoTW.
