Ignoring Spots by Band, Mode Family, or Origin

Note: this functionality requires SpotCollector 8.5.5 or later

SpotCollector's Pre-filtering window can direct it to ignore spots on specified bands, in specified mode families, or from stations in specified origins.

There are three ways to display the Pre-filtering window:

To ignore spots by band, independent of mode family or origin, check the appropriate boxes in the Pre-filtering window's Ignore incoming spots on selected bands panel.

To ignore spots by mode family, independent of band or origin, check the appropriate boxes in the Pre-filtering window's Ignore incoming spots in selected mode familes panel.

To ignore spots by origin, independent of band mode family, check the appropriate boxes in the Pre-filtering window's Ignore incoming spots from selected origins panel.

Other Ways to Ignore Spots

You can ignore spots by callsign or by spotter callsign.

You can ignore spots from skimmers by checking the Discard spots from spotting stations callsigns ending in -# box on the Configuration window's Special Callsigns tab.

You can ignore spots from DX Summit by checking the Discard spots from spotting stations callsigns ending in -@ box on the Configuration window's Special Callsigns tab.
