Discarding Spots From Remote Skimmers

Spot Sources that convey spots identified by remote CW Skimmers can generate a large volume of information that some users always find useful, some users occasionally find useful, and some users never find useful. If you are in the latter camp, you can minimize the performance impact on SpotCollector by configuring your spot sources to not convey Skimmer spots, as described below. If you are in the always useful or sometimes useful camps, then leave your spot sources configured to convey Skimmer spots; you can direct SpotCollector to ignore them en masse by checking the Discard spots from spotting stations callsigns ending in -# option on the Configuration window's Special Callsigns tab (SpotCollector 6.3.5 and later).
