Obtaining DX Information from an Maidenhead Grid Square

  1. in DXView's Main window, type a valid Maidenhead grid square into the Location panel's grid textbox and strike the Enter key

  2. DXView displays a location that is characterized by
    • a latitude and longitude

    • the names of one or more DXCC entities that contain the grid square (if its GridDXCC database is installed)

    • the short path distance (SP DX) to your QTH

    • a blue dot on the World Map (click the World button in the Main window's Maps panel to make the World Map visible)

    • short and long path Headings for directive antennas
