Logging ARRL and RAC Sections

Some amateur radio contests involve making QSOs with stations in ARRL and RAC sections. When logging a QSO with a station in the US or Canada, DXKeeper's Capture window, the "Log QSOs" tab of DXKeeper's Main window, and WinWarbler's "QSO Info" panel all provide an ARRL item to record the appropriate Section abbreviation.

Some U.S. States and Canadian Provinces contain exactly one section; in those cases, DXKeeper will automatically populate the Section item from the selected State or Province. Other States and Provinces - like California and Ontario - contain multiple Sections, requiring you to make the choice; in a contest based on Sections, your QSO partner's Section will be part of the Exchange.

A list of all Sections and their abbreviations is available here
