Generating a WAZ Submission

DXKeeper can automatically choose the minimal set of confirmed QSOs to submit to CQ for WAZ award credit in pursuit of your WAZ award objectives.

These instructions will generate WAZ applications for one or more WAZ awards with LoTW confirmations having first priority, eQSL confirmations having second priority, and QSL card submissions having third priority. If you prefer a different priority, change the order of steps 5A, 5B, and 5C below.

  1. backup your log by clicking the Backup button in the Configuration window's Log tab

  2. confirm that your WAZ award objectives are properly specified

  3. in the Filter panel at the bottom of the Main window's Log QSOs panel, click the X button (to ensure that all QSOs are present in the Log Page Display)

  4. click the Summary button in the CQ WAZ panel on the Main window's Check Progress tab

    1. review the Worked All Zones Summary report it generates in DXKeeper's Reports folder, and decide which WAZ awards merit generating an application

    2. in the WAZ Bands & Modes panel on the Configuration window's Progress tab, uncheck the boxes of those WAZ awards that don't merit generating an application

  5. click the Submission button in the CQ WAZ panel on the Main window's Check Progress tab; in the DXKeeper WAZ Submission window,

      2. check the LoTW confirmations box

      3. uncheck the QSL Cards box

        1. inspect each of your QSOs confirmed via LoTW, and promote those to be submitted by setting their WAZ vfy items to S

        2. display a report showing which QSOs were added to the submission

      2. check the eQSL confirmations box

      3. uncheck the QSL Cards box

      4. augment the submission with QSOs confirmed via Authenticity Guaranteed members of eQSL.cc by clicking the Assemble Submission button; DXKeeper will

    2. in the Filter panel at the bottom of the Main window's Log QSOs panel, click the X button (to ensure that all QSOs are present in the Log Page Display)

    3. in the DXKeeper WAZ Submission window

      1. check the QSL Cards, LotW confirmations, and eQSL confirmations boxes
