The notes for this release are arranged in four sections: general, LotW, eQSL.cc, and documentation. General ======= - declines to open a log whose QSL Queue contains more fields than the current version of DXKeeper can handle (prevents trouble when you inadvertently use an obsolete version of DXKeeper to open a log) - handles certain printer errors without generating an errorlog.txt entry, and adds additional detail to Errorlog.txt entries for certain other printer errors (if DXKeeper's title bar indicates that an Errorlog.txt file has been generated, please send it to aa6yq@ambersoft.com) - ignores printer source selection errors generated when printing to a PDF driver - doesn't initialize a QSOs's state or province item with information from previous QSOs unless the DXCC entity is the US or Canada respectively - while importing QSOs, ignores PROVINCE fields unless the imported DXCC entity is Canada (STATES and COUNTIES are still imported with non-USA QSOs in preparation for their generalization to primary and secondary administrative regions as part of full ADIF 2.0 support) - for callsigns of the form A/B, if the length of A is equal to the length of B, then the callsign's DXCC entity is specified by A - if "Add Needed requests all with same call" or "Add Needed requests all with same manager" are enabled, a qualifying QSO whose QSL_RCVD item is 'R' should be added to the QSL Queue unless its QSL_SENT item is 'Y' - Extends the myQTH tab to permit specification of Rig, Operator Name, and Email Address --- Provides substitutions commands to permit the above information to be printed on QSL cards --- Exports the above information in tab-delimited files (via both QSL and Export operations) - if a QSO containing an erroneous item is selected, automatically enables the panel containing the erroneous item so the blinking caption is visible - during frequency capture and import, removes leading zeros in the hundred-mHz and ten-mHz positions, and trailing zeros in the hundred-Hz, ten-Hz, and one-Hz positions; this enables duplicate elimination to succeed when frequencies are numerically identical but textually different - adds a new DEST_SORT item to the QSL Queue; when printing QSL cards or labels, this item is used to ensure that cards or labels destined for the same callsign, home callsign, or QSL manager callsign are physically adjacent - sorts addressed envelopes, envelope labels, and address report entries in same order as QSL cards/labels LotW ==== - provides improved error messages when www.arrl.org/lotw is unavailable - if "Sync LotW QSOs" or "Sync LotW QSLs" returns an ADIF header not containing a date, doesn't reset the Last QSO or Last QSL date (prevents incorrect operation when LotW responds to a download request with an error message like "too many users") - provides an "Upload to LotW" button that generates an ADIF file from enabled QSL Queue entries, invokes TQSL to encrypt that file, and uploads the resulting .TQ8 file to LotW; if the upload is accepted by LotW, the logged QSOs are updated and the QSL Queue is cleared. --- this new capability requires that you have the TQSL.exe version 1.1.0 (or later) installed on your PC; you must specify the location of TQSL.exe location on the QSL Config window's LotW tab --- you can optionally specify a TQSL station location on the QSL Config window's LotW tab; if you do not specify a location, TQSL.exe will prompt you to select one when it is invoked by DXKeeper eQSL.cc ======= - provides a new "Download eQSLs" function that invokes your browser and navigates to the eQSL.cc page from which the InBox can be downloaded, thereby eliminating the need to memorize or lookup the URL (if your Browser is already running but minimized, you'll need to restore its window) - if "Upload to eQSL.cc" succeeds, automatically updates the logged QSO associated with each uploaded QSL Queue entry and removes that entry from the QSL Queue Documentation ============= - updates the Export.htm, MultipleQTHs.htm, QSL.htm, and QSLConfiguration.htm online documentation files Many thanks to Joe K4IK and Jerry K3BZ for their assistance in the design and verification of this release. Thanks also to Jon KE1Z for his improvements to LotW's upload mechanism. DXKeeper 4.4.7 is available via http://www.qsl.net/dxlab/download.htm or via this reflector's Files area. 73, Dave, AA6YQ
