This release corrects a regression defect in Commander 12.4.7 that prevents the Scomm32 component from being installed, causing appearance of the error message "Run Time Error '339': Component 'Scomm32x.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid" Thanks to Ian AC9KW for his assistance in identifying this defect. Notes: 1. Terminate WinWarbler and SpotCollector (as well as Commander) before directing the Launcher to upgrade to Commander 12.4.8. If you fail to do this, the Launcher will report "extraction error: error: cannot delete old C:\DXLab\Commander/SComm32x.ocx; Upgrade aborted" Terminate WinWarbler, SpotCollector, and Commander, and try again. 2. Like Commander 12.5.7, Commander 12.4.8 updates SComm32 to version 9.1.2 to prevent the brief assertion of RTS when a serial port is opened by the previous version (9.1.1) of Scomm32. WinWarbler will when next started use SComm32 version 9.1.2, eliminating the brief assertion of RTS when WinWarbler opens a serial port. For WinWarbler users who do not employ Commander, an imminent new version of WinWarbler will replace Scomm32 version 9.1.1 with Scomm32 version 9.1.2. 3. Anyone who modified Commander's radios.txt file by appending PTT=T to the IC-910H entry should set the Radio Model selector (Configuration window, general tab) to IC-910HA (my designation for the IC-910H variant that accepts a CI-V command to switch between RX and TX) 4. Update your firewall and anti-malware applications to consider this new version of Commander to be "safe" 5. If this upgrade doesn't work correctly, see the "After an Upgrade" section of 6. After upgrading, to revert to the previous version of Commander, see Commander 12.4.8 is available via the DXLab Launcher and via 73, Dave, AA6YQ
