This release can install new DXLab applications, and update or restore already-installed DXLab applications: - determine which DXLab applications are installed and which are uninstalled - install a DXLab application from a designated distribution web site - compare the versions of installed DXLab applications with the versions currently available - upgrade a already-installed application from a designated distribution web site - restore a already-installed application from a designated distribution web site Three distribution web sites are currently available: DXLabSuite, KY1V, and IV3YER. The first time the new Launcher runs on a PC, it chooses one of these sites at random; you can select a closer site if desired. Additional distribution sites can easily be added by adding descriptor file in the Launcher's Sites folder. This release updates the Configuration.htm, ControllingApplications.htm, index.htm, MainWindow.jpg, and Prerequisites.htm online documentation files. It also adds a new file: InstallUpgrade.htm . To become familiar with the Launcher's new capabilities, * review the overview in http://www.dxlabsuite.com/download.htm * review http://www.dxlabsuite.com/Launcher/Help/InstallUpgrade.htm for additional content * see http://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/InstallingDXLabApplications for step-by-step installation and upgrade instructions Existing users will fall into two categories: those who have never installed the Launcher, and those who've already installed an earlier version of the Launcher. * If you've never installed the Launcher, navigate to http://www.dxlabsuite.com/download.htm and click its Install Launcher button * If you're installed an earlier version of the Launcher, follow the instructions in http://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxlabwiki/UpgradeLauncher This new version of the Launcher has generated many additions and changes to web pages; if you encounter errors, inconsistencies, or broken hyperlinks, please report them. Suggestions for improving content and clarity would also be appreciated. Again, I'd like to thank Ken K4XL, Rich W3ZJ, Jamie W2QO, Jerry K3BZ, Joe W4TV, and Art W2NRA for their contributions to the design, testing, and documentation of this improved Launcher. 73, Dave, AA6YQ
