This release - provides entity-driven translation for more than 50 amateur radio words and phrases in more than 50 languages (tnx to Oba-san JA7UDE, and Juergen DL8LE) - updates the Configuration.htm, index.htm, and Operation.htm documentation files Notes A special thanks goes to Bill W9OL for bootstrapping this release by constructing the Translation database's entity-to-language table. To use the new translation capability, 1. On the Config window's General tab, install the Translation database. 2. In the new Translations panel on the Config window's General tab, 2a. Check the Enable box; DXView's new Translations window will appear. 2b. Set the "native language" selector to your native language; the headings of each column in the Translation window are displayed in this language. 2c. Click the "Auto Size" button; this sets the width of each column in DXView's Translations window so that every translation will be fully visible. 3. In the Translations window, use the horizontal slider to see what words and phrases are available. Unless you have a really wide monitor, you won't be able to see them all simultaneously, so relocate columns you expect to use frequently to the left side of the window. You can do this by clicking on the caption of a column you wish to relocate, and then click-dragging the column until the two red positioning triangles indicate the desired new location (as you would when relocating columns in the Log Page Display or Spot Database Display) 4. Type a callsign into the Info window's Callsign box and strike the Enter key; translations for the language(s) used in that callsign's DXCC entity will appear in the Translations window. The Translation database is a work in progress, and will be updated. The current version does not provide all translations for each supported language; if you can provide missing translations, please send them to me via aa6yq@ambersoft.com and I will incorporate them. If you notice erroneous translations or language choices, please let me know. DXView 3.4.6 is available via the DXLab Launcher or via 73, Dave, AA6YQ
