== Using DX Atlas with DXView on Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, or Windows 11 ==

As a first step, be sure you are running the current version of DX Atlas, which as of 2024-02-24 is '''2.41'''. You can download it [[https://www.dxatlas.com/DxAtlas/Files/DxAtlas2.zip|here]].

If DX Atlas version 2.41 does not interoperate with DXView, reboot Windows into "Safe mode with networking" and start DXView. If DXView now interoperates with DX Atlas 2.4.1, your anti-malware or firewall is responsible for the failure when Windows is booted normally and automatically starts your anti-malware and firewall.

 * if this entry appears in an errorlog.txt file created by DXView: {{{program error -2147418113 in module DXAtlasModule.Show: Method '~' of object '~' failed}}} and your PC is configured to automatically hibernate, disable automatic hibernation.
